Who we are

Started on the big equipment. Still built for it.

JP Air Conditioning & Heating was founded in Fresno in 2012, but the experience behind it goes back further. The company is led by a commercial equipment expert who has been working on heavy heating, cooling and refrigeration equipment — chillers, boilers, refrigeration racks and large rooftop systems — since 2000. That's the foundation the business was built on, and it's still what sets JP apart from most HVAC companies in the Valley.

Today JP serves commercial, industrial and residential customers across the entire Central Valley: repairing and maintaining central plant equipment for facilities that can't go down, installing rooftop systems for restaurants, offices and warehouses, keeping walk-ins and cold storage holding temperature for the Valley's food businesses, and taking care of home heating and cooling for families in Fresno and Clovis.

We hold three California contractor licenses — C20 for HVAC, C38 for refrigeration and C43 for sheet metal — which means the equipment, the refrigeration circuit and the ductwork are all handled by the same crew. Fewer contractors on your job. One number to call.

Licensing

Three licenses. What they mean for you.

California licenses HVAC, refrigeration and sheet metal as separate trades. Most contractors hold one. JP holds all three, so nothing on your job gets subbed out.

C20 — HVAC

Warm-air heating, ventilating and air-conditioning. Covers furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, package units, ventilation and the controls that run them — residential and commercial.

C38 — Refrigeration

Commercial and industrial refrigeration: walk-ins, cold storage, display cases, compressor racks, chillers and the refrigerant work behind them. A separate trade with its own license, and one most HVAC companies don't carry.

C43 — Sheet Metal

Ductwork, plenums, curb adapters and transitions, fabricated and installed by us. When a replacement unit doesn't match the old footprint, or a building needs new duct runs, we don't wait on another contractor.
